NOTTOWAY COUNTY SCHOOL BUDGET HEARING

The Nottoway County School Board will hold a Public Hearing on the 2023-2024 Budget at its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. in the Nottoway High School Mini-Auditorium.

The Nottoway County School Board will hold a second Public Hearing on the 2023-2024 Budget at its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. in the Nottoway High School Mini-Auditorium.

Any person wanting to comment during the hearing must register no later than 7:00 p.m. prior to the meeting. Persons making comments will be given three minutes to address Board member(s) present. It is recommended that any person making comments bring copies of any remarks, and provide them to the clerk, Mrs. Charlotte Wood, during registration.

Dates of 2023 Meetings

The School Board will meet on the second Thursday of each month for the 2023 year at 7:00 p.m.  The meeting dates are as follows:

The School Board meeting location is in the Mini-Auditorium at Nottoway High School, 5267 Old Nottoway Road, Crewe, VA, at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted.



Set School Board Meeting Dates

By the State Code of Virginia, the School Board is required to reorganize at its first meeting each year, including setting the dates, times, and places for School Board meetings.

Meet The Board

The Nottoway County School Board is responsible for governing the school division for the public. The School Board determines school division policy and employs the Superintendent to implement division policy. The Superintendent, administrative staff and teachers are responsible for the day-to-day operations. The School Board has its regular meetings at 7:00 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month. Special meetings are scheduled for action or discussion on matters that cannot wait until the next regular meeting.
