NOTTOWAY COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS TRANSITION TO SUCCESS
December 2025 Vol. 1, Issue 4
Welcome to the 4th Edition of the NCPS Transition to Success Newsletter! Each month, the focus is on a key life skill to help students grow into independent, confident, and capable young adults.
For December, the focus is on Money Smarts. Learning how to manage money is a lifelong skill that helps children understand spending, saving, and making thoughtful choices. Families play a big role by discussing money, modeling responsible spending, and offering real-life practice.
This month, families can try practicing small purchases together—counting out change, comparing prices, or using self-checkout with guidance. These simple, hands-on experiences help children build confidence, develop real-world math skills, and understand the value of money.
