Nottoway County Public Schools: Transition to Success
February 2026 | Vol. 1, Issue 6
Welcome to the 6th Edition of the NCPS Transition to Success Newsletter! Each month, we highlight a key life skill to support students as they grow into independent, confident, and capable young adults.
Theme of the Month: Communication and Social Skills
For February, our focus is on Communication and Social Skills. These skills help students build relationships, express needs, and participate confidently at school, home, and in the community. Social interactions are essential for independence, employment, and daily life.
Families can support this growth by modeling positive communication and providing safe opportunities for students to practice. Remember that patience, repetition, and encouragement are key to building confidence.
