🐾Today our 2nd Grade Cougar Cubs finished their time and money unit! Students completed stations in all four classrooms. One of the stations was a store where students were given money. They had to budget their money to be able to buy the items they wanted. They had to count a mixed collection of coins totaling $2.00.

🐾 BPS loved having Mrs. Moreno and Ms. Duffy’s class visit us today! They delivered Cougar Cafe coffee, fresh lemonade, and baked goods and our staff really appreciated it! One of our favorite moments was Rachel reading Llama Llama Hoppity Hop (in braille!) to Ms. Dillemuth’s kindergarten class. Thank you for such a special visit! 💛
🐾 Earlier this month, students in Mrs. Hawkins's 4th grade class worked with buddies using models to add and subtract decimals. Students used their notes and steps to solve problems. The smiles say it all.....understanding leads to learning!

🐾 Do you know why Jamestown wasn't a good settlement site, what types of animals they raised in those early settlements, or how the English settlers made the rooves on their houses? Ask a Fourth Grade student what they are learning in Virginia Studies and you might learn something too!

🐾 Participants must park and enter through the gym doors on the side of the building.
🐾 You will be checked in and then may go into the gym to receive a bag (or you can bring reusable bags from home) and pick up your selected items.
🐾 Volunteers will be available to assist. Each item will be labeled with the number you may take, and you may choose to skip any item you don’t need.

🐾 Earlier this month, our Fourth Grade students enjoyed an outreach program from Jamestown. Students were able to ask questions, observe artifacts, and even handle some of the historical objects.
