Good evening. Attached is a welcome letter from the JNROTC instructors. You can disregard it if your child is not in the ROTC program.
Good afternoon. To comply with Federal law, any student (18 or older) or parent of an 11th or 12th grader may opt out of sharing their child’s information with the military. School starts on Wednesday, August 21st and we are excited to welcome you back! Please keep in mind the new start and dismissal times for our schools: BPS & CPS- tardy at 7:55am, instruction starts at 8am, and dismissal at 2:30pm; NIS, NMS & NHS- tardy at 8:55am, instruction starts at 9am, and dismissal at 3:30pm.
REMINDER: Please come out and join us for our 2024 9th Grade Orientation, tomorrow, starting at 6 p.m. We will provide families with information to aid in the student's transition to NHS and their path to success. Dinner will be provided.
The schedule for ANTC (Amelia Nottoway Vocational Center) for the 24-25 school year is as follows. AM Instructional Hours: 8:25 -10:55 Students driving to ANTC in the morning are to report directly to ANTC; only students needing to ride the bus to ANTC should come to Nottoway High School first. PM Instructional Hours:12:15 - 2:45 for NCPS (students will get a "grab and go" lunch to take with them) ANTC Students' First Day = Thursday, August 15 ANTC Students' Last Day = Friday, June 6 The bus schedule for August 15th-20th is attached

Dear Parents/Guardians,
As your child prepares to enter their senior year, we want to remind you of the important immunization requirements for all rising 12th graders. Ensuring your child is up-to-date on their vaccinations is crucial for their health and the safety of our school community.
Required Immunization - Meningococcal Vaccine (MCV4):
All students entering 12th grade must have received their second dose of the Meningococcal (MCV4) vaccine after their 16th birthday. If your child has not yet received this vaccine, please schedule an appointment with your healthcare provider as soon as possible.
Action Needed:
Please submit proof of your child’s immunization to the school nurse before the start of the new school year. If your child has already received the required vaccine, please ensure that the school has an updated immunization record on file.
Failure to provide proof of the required immunizations may result in your child being unable to attend school until the requirements are met.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this important matter. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact your child's school nurse.

Sports physicals will be offered tomorrow at NHS from 9:00 - 3:00 for the cost of $35. Enter through the main entrance and come into the office.
Senior Portraits for the class of 2025 will be taken at Nottoway High School on August 5th and 6th in the Auxiliary gym from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. both days.

The Nottoway High School band will be having their mandatory parent meeting for all marching band participants. This will be held tomorrow, 7/25 at 6pm in the NHS Band Room."
Band Camp will be starting, Monday July 29th. .
NCPS Open House will be on Thursday, August 15th from 1pm-4pm and 4:30pm until 7pm. As a reminder, please complete your student registration in the portal and don't forget about the Parking Lot Party on August 12th.
With the new school opening times, bus numbers and bus routes have changed. Schools have been sent copies of transportation information. Please contact your child's school if you need updated transportation information.
The bookmobile which delivers summer meals will not run today due to weather.

NCPS has opened Parent Portals. At this time, each parent should access their account to update the online enrollment forms for the 24-25 school year. Each form should be submitted by August 15th.
Parents should contact school registrars with any questions regarding enrollment or completing online forms.
