The Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC) provides a forum for families, educators, and community members to advise the school division on issues related to special education services. SEAC works to improve outcomes and ensure all students with disabilities receive the support they need to thrive.
Why Should I Join?
As a parent or guardian of a child with an IEP, you bring essential insight. By participating in SEAC, you can:
Share your experiences and advocate for positive change
Help identify needs, challenges, and opportunities within special education
Stay informed about laws, programs, and services
Be part of a collaborative effort to support all students with disabilities in NCPS
Quarterly Meetings – Dates To Be Determined
SEAC will meet four times each year. Meetings are open, welcoming, and focused on collaboration.
Who Can Join?
Any parent or guardian of a student with an Individualized Education Program (IEP) in Nottoway County Public Schools.
No special qualifications are required – just a willingness to contribute and collaborate!

It's that time of year! Please take a moment to update your child's registration information in the portal. Updated information is required before the start of the school year and prior to receiving your child's schedule at the parking lot party.

Immunization reminder for NCPS students:
All Pre-K and Kindergarten students must have an up to date physical and vaccines.
All rising seventh graders must have the Tdap and the first meningococcal vaccine.
All rising twelfth graders should have their second meningococcal vaccine.
These tasks must be done prior to the first day of school. Any student who does not have the required physical or vaccines may be sent home until completed.
Please make sure you have an appt with your PCP or Nottoway Health Dept. to get these done.

NCPS still has space available in our PreK programs at Crewe and Blackstone Primary. Please contact the school of your residency zone for more information. NCPS offers a full day PreK program to in- county residents.

NCPS Families: This is a reminder that student medications must be picked up by the last day of school, Thursday, June 5th. Anything not picked up is required to be destroyed. Please contact the school nurse at your child's school with any questions.

This is a reminder that the last day of school will be Thursday, June 5th as approved at the May School Board Meeting.

Friendly reminder: On Monday, May 26, all schools will be closed for Memorial Day. We look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday, May 27.
